  • Condition: This is a nice wheel set from a girls bike. They are not beat.These wheels are clean with no rust. The chrome rims shine. There is some light peppering in the chrome on the rims. Very minor. Spokes are not rusted, Hub works fine. They have been professionally trued. I took them to a wheel smith. They are true. However he put some air in the tires and one of them split. The tires I had on at first are no longer available. There is some dried grease on the sprocket and other end of the hub which has not been cleaned.

    Description

    These wheels are from a 1965 Murray Startoflite girls bike.
    Murray made the Spaceliner for Sears. These are the exact same wheels used on the Spaceliner. These wheels were on all of the Murray Schreckengost designed middleweight bicycles, models for a number of years.
    They are stamped M.O.  MFG. CO. which stands for Murray of Ohio.
    The wheels have been trued professionally. It cost me .
    Come with the brake arm strap.
    This is a nice wheel set. I would use it on a restoration.
    I had this listed with tires at first but the wheel smith put some more air in the tires. One of them split. The tires are no longer available. There were wobbles and no hops. The wheels are dead on true now.
