    Description

    Armored Forces Collar Disc--M3 Tank
    Original early WW2 US Army Armored Forces enlisted collar disc, unauthorized private purchase version featuring well detailed M3 tank in center. Tank is made of grey pewter type metal with steel screw post, brass flower shaped washer, double prong backing washer, and brass backing disc. All brass components are somewhat thinner than the issue type--combined with the pewter and steel center design, all are typical of early war attempts to conserve critical metals wherever possible. Average age tarnish but will clean better if desired, there is also a small hole [manufacturing defect] at center of road wheels, otherwise undamaged. One of the more hard-to-find early WW2 variants for your collar disc or Armored insignia collection and is in fine condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
