    Description

    WW2 Pilot wings. These are the AE Co. pattern made under contract for Luxenberg. They are charitably called, “slick wing” because of the lack of detail. On the reverse is it marked STERLING / LUXENBERG / NEW YORK in very small, raised letters. These wings measure approximately 3" across and weigh 21.2 grams on a jeweler's scale. Pin back with a pin that only opens 45 degrees. The detail is poor, as manufactured. Heavy wear. Definitely not a casting. You can find excellent pilot wings much cheaper, but this is a rare manufacturer. You are buying the material pictured. US shipping is .50 (1st Class mail with delivery confirmation).
