    Description

    This auction is for a SDL 30 Amp Laser Diode Driver and Intergrated Thermoelectric Controller.
    These are removed from SDL laser systems.
    Complete schematics and instructions will be provided.  You will need a 24v DC power supply, a LM35 Analog Temp Sensor, and a 26 pin M-M ribbon cable.
    The 50 pin electrical data connector is used to control the laser diode current and safety features.  1v input = 10A output.
    The thermoelectric controller uses a LM35 analog temperature sensor to monitor/adjust TEC temperature.
    The original SDL laser systems had a laser shutter and analog laser power output monitor.  The pins on the boards can be jumpered if this is not to be used.  I will provide instructions.  If these are used it is a nice way to provide a laser with constant power or constant current.
    Safety features of these controllers include electrical interlocks, and shutter controls.  Monitoring signals includes laser on, laser temperature ok, laser current ok, optical power ok, etc...
    Monitoring includes outputs for laser drive current (1v = 10A), laser mount temperature (1v = 10 deg C), and power supply voltages (5v, +12v, -12v)
    The user manual provides complete calibration procedures of all aspects of the controller.
    As stated above
    you will need a 24v DC power supply, a LM35 Analog Temp Sensor, and a 26 pin M-M ribbon cable.  The ribbon cable is needed to connect the 2 parts of the system together.  I have ordered LM35's and ribbon cables, so if you need them let me know.
