Master Water Conditioning HI-MSP-6165 Ultraviolet (UV) Germicidal Bulb - 2 pin (miniature Bi-pin on both ends), 20-Watt, 17.17" length.
Please note that the measurement is between the ends of the white ceramic bases - does NOT include the pins.
The brand, as shown on the bulb, is CureUV.
I bought this for my home Master Water Conditioning UV water sterilizer and it turned out to be the wrong size. Unfortunately, the order was from a few months ago and so I waited too long to return it. I only took it out of the box to look at it, get pictures, and returned it back to the original packaging for sale.
I've been using these bulbs for decades as an effective means of well water sterilization due to the presence of coliform bacteria. My unit requires a longer bulb, and so figured I'd try to sell this one since I can't use it. Hopefully someone else can.
The T5-shaped bulb is made with a ceramic base material, has two pins on both ends, and has an average lifespan of 10,000 hours. With a wavelength of 254 nm, the germicidal water treatment bulb helps in destroying bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens present in water.
Generally it's suggested to replace these bulbs on a yearly basis for most effective performance, although I've often gone multiple years without changing them.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. It is sometimes necessary to slightly heat the bulb with a hairdryer if it doesn't light up. Please be aware that Ultraviolet UV-C light is harmful to your eyes and skin. Use proper safety gear. It is not advisable to look at the lit bulb without special glasses that are designed for the purpose.
Also, there are many different-sized bulbs for the various applications mentioned above.

Returns:
Unless specifically mentioned, there are no returns on purchased items. For those items that I do accept returns on, please notifiy me within 7 days with a description of what is wrong. There is a 14-day return period. Once I receive the item back, examine it, and determine that the item was received by you other than as described, your purchase cost will be refunded through Paypal, but note that return shipping is at the buyer’s expense. I would ask that you cancel the transaction through eBay so that my eBay fees are returned.
