    Description

    This saddle bag was purchased in 1968 from the American Youth Hostel store. It was used for an 8 week bicycle trip through Europe and was able to carry all of our clothing used during the trip, plus some items purchased while there. It is heavy canvas with leather trim and strap with buckle. The flaps have a inner heavy vinyl liner that make it waterproof. Probably the rest of the bag could be coated with a waterproof product. It was used again for a camping trip to Hawaii. It is faded from age, but still in very good usable condition.
