This was a patriotic and religious pin worn by US servicemen, most commonly by sailors and marines in the Pacific theatre of WWII.
A well-crafted pin marked sterling and marked Greenduch Co. of Chicago,1942. Diminutive size (approximately 0.5" x 0.5"), and yet inscriptions are distinct and readable.
Crossed flags of US and Red Cross around a "V" for victory, with an ornate scroll embossed with "Christ and Country".
Excellent collectible piece, with working “c catch” clasp, no breaks or repairs. Has lots of nice undisturbed patina.
